Azerbaijani army destroys Armenian military base in Madagiz

Armenian armed forces, realizing the futility of returning the lost positions in the directions of Khojavend-Fuzuli and Aghdere-Terter districts, continues to fire at settlements near the contact line of troops, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry said on April 5.

In this direction, the headquarters of the military base in the Armenian point Madagiz, considered one of the largest and strategically important military bases of the enemy and located one the main road leading to the city of Aghdere, was destroyed with precise strikes inflicted by the Azerbaijani side, the Defense Ministry stressed.

Three battle tanks and personnel deployed to the trenches, intended for the conduct of a circular firing, were destroyed on the defensive line of the enemy in the evening of April 4, the Defense Ministry added.

According to the statement, military units of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces located in the directions of Khojavend and Fuzuli districts, in order to minimize the risk of shelling settlements by the opposing side, destroyed two enemy tanks with personnel and up to five wheeled vehicles with military equipment.

In general, as a result of the operation carried out from April 4 to April 5, up to 70 people and around 20 military equipment of Armenia were destroyed by Azerbaijan armed forces.
